Congratulations, you are about to use SSL with your Edgecast account.
The first step to have SSL is to talk with your account manager and select the SSL plan that is best for you.
If the SSL certificate is a shared SAN cert, the issuing CA will request approval from the current domain Admin contact.
Once the SSL certificate is installed on Edgecast's edge network, we will enable SSL for your account and then there are 2 configuration changes to make:
First, the origin for SSL traffic must be defined, by checking the "HTTPS Edge protocol" and filling in the relevant origin.
You can select to have the traffic between the edge and the origin as plain HTTP.
You can have 2 different origins: one for HTTP and one for HTTPS.
The second change will involve the CNAME. For SSL, Edgecast will supply you with a special server name to CNAME to, so a DNS change will have to be made.
